Coronary artery diseases are normally smooth and flexible arteries inside the wall that allow blood to flow easily. Continued formation of fatty deposits in the walls of the arteries causes the arteries to become narrower and blood flow to decrease, which can reduce arterial blood flow to such an extent that causes a heart attack. Therefore, the angioplasty procedure is recommended and performed by a cardiologist.
